Volleyball Recap: Delta Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Delta extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-14. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wauseon Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Claire Bates paced Delta's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bates got some help from Ellie Martinez and her 21 assists.

As for Wauseon, they moved to 5-10 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since August 16th.

Wauseon was led to victory by Bella McGuire and Anaya Gonzales. McGuire had 29 digs and three aces, while Gonzales had ten digs and four aces. That's the most aces Gonzales has posted since back in August.

Delta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Paulding on the 25th. As for Wauseon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Start on the 25th.
