Baseball Recap: Pascack Valley Falls Short Against Ranked Ramapo

Pascack Valley faced Ramapo in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Panthers fell 11-7 to the Raiders. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Raiders since on Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for Pascack Valley and nudges their season record down to 12-5. As for Ramapo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pascack Valley will take on Passaic County Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.5, the Bulldogs 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Ramapo, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ridgefield Park at 4:15 p.m. on the 12th.
