Basketball Recap: Ninnekah Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Ninnekah hadn't done well against Alex recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Ninnekah Owls secured a 61-57 W over the Alex Longhorns. The Owls have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Longhorns, too.

Ninnekah pushed their record up to 9-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points over those games. As for Alex, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Coming up, Ninnekah will welcome Minco at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alex has already played their next match (against Dibble), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
