Basketball Recap: Horizon Science Academy Comes Up Short

Horizon Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 65-57 to the St. John Fighting Herald. The Dragons lost against the Fighting Herald in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 85-44 score last time.

Horizon Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. John, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-1.

Horizon Science Academy and Lake Ridge Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. John, they will venture away from home to square off against Chalker at 1:00 p.m. on December 21st.
