Amelia Academy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Southampton Academy Raiders, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted against the Raiders since March 24, 2023.

Amelia Academy saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Borum, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Borum also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

The win got Amelia Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Southampton Academy, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amelia Academy will welcome Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southampton Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Isle of Wight Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
