Recap: South Kingstown Rebels vs. Tolman Tigers

On Friday, the South Kingstown Rebels faced the Tolman Tigers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. South Kingstown fell 81-70 to Tolman. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (61), South Kingstown still had to take the loss.

Tolman got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was John Hilaire out in front who scored 26 points along with six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hilaire has scored all season. Malik Gelinas was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds.

South Kingstown are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Tolman, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Coincidentally, South Kingstown and Tolman will both be playing Coventry the next time they take the court. Tolman will host Coventry at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while South Kingstown will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
