Baseball Recap: French Camp Academy Finds Home Field Redemption Against Winona

There's no place like home for French Camp Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Winona Tigers 13-3 on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Eli Withers made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Robert Bentley, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Logan Wright was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
