Baseball Recap: North Summit Victorious

North Summit's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the GV Christian Guardians get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. With that victory, the Braves brought their scoring average up to 7.5 runs per game.

Kestin Richins was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cael Crittenden, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025. Jaxon Preator was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

North Summit always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as GV Christian only posted an OBP of .111.

The win got North Summit back to even at 2-2. As for GV Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

North Summit wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-6 defeat against Ben Lomond on the 10th. As for GV Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 14-3 loss against Milford on the 7th.
