Volleyball Recap: Hoover Wins Going Away Against Firebaugh

Hoover not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 12, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Firebaugh Eagles. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-12, 25-16.

Alejandra Espino was the offensive standout of the match as she had 19 assists and three aces. Those 19 assists gave her a new career-high.

Hoover now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Firebaugh, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Hoover will take on Grace Davis at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Firebaugh, they will challenge Granite Hills at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
