Basketball Recap: Ashland-Greenwood Has No Trouble Against Adams Central

Ashland-Greenwood lost to Adams Central back in March of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays blew past the Adams Central Patriots 53-32. The Bluejays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Adams Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hunter Nepple posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Austin Vontz, who had seven points.

Ashland-Greenwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Adams Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Coming up, Ashland-Greenwood will host Bishop Neumann on Tuesday. As for Adams Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Kearney Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
