Vallivue has gone 9-1 against Caldwell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. Caldwell took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Vallivue, who comes in off a win.
Vallivue is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Nampa, who was ranked 16th at the time (Vallivue was ranked 18th). The Falcons put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 14-2 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Maris Farner made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off nine hits. Farner was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ali Knowles was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March. Bella Magallon was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Skyview hit Caldwell with a four-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cougars came up short against the Hawks, falling 10-1. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Bristol Runnels spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and seven unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Payton Garcia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run.
Vallivue is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Caldwell, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
Vallivue couldn't quite get it done against Caldwell in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 6-2. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
