Basketball Recap: Oxford Comes Up Short

Oxford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 47-27 to the Clarkston Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Wolves are ranked 39th).

Oxford's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Clarkston, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Oxford will take on Ferndale at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarkston, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m.
