Oneonta put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Fairview Aggies 5-3. While the Redskins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Carter Clyde was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).

Oneonta's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs over those games. As for Fairview, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, Oneonta and Fairview will both be playing Sardis the next time they take the field. Fairview will head out to face Sardis at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Oneonta will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
