Dawson is a perfect 4-0 against Pasadena Memorial since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Dawson Eagles will head out to take on the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dawson is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Dobie on Friday. Dawson came out on top against Dobie by a score of 6-1.

Bennett Schnee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

On the hitting side, Jack Dyment and David Alanis did most of the damage at the plate: Dyment scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Alanis scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Alanis has posted since back in March of 2024. Brandon Gutierrez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Dawson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Pasadena Memorial had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-6. As for Pasadena Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-1.

Dawson skirted past Pasadena Memorial 9-8 in their previous meeting back in April of 2016. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dawson since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
