Baseball Recap: Bristol-Plymouth RVT Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Bristol-Plymouth RVT got themselves on the board against Blue Hills RVT on Thursday, but Blue Hills RVT never followed suit. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 4-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 last Monday.

Kyle Weldon made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Cameron Wilbur was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. He also put up a run, which was his first of the season. Joe Benevides was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Blue Hills RVT, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6-1.

Coming up, Bristol-Plymouth RVT will face off against Northbridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Craftsmen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Blue Hills RVT, they will square off against Minuteman Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 4.1, the Minuteman 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
