After losing to Hartford Central the last time they met, Argyle decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Scots were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tanagers on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Scots have posted against the Tanagers since October 12, 2022.

Argyle's got stronger as the match went on, holding Hartford Central to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-19.

Ava Cormie paced Argyle's offense, picking up nine kills. Cormie got some help from Chloe Townsend and her 16 assists. Brooke Austin and Kyleigh Dennis kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Argyle is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Hartford Central, their defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
