Softball Recap: The Pilgrim Academy Comes Up Short

The Pilgrim Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 24-6 to the Calvary Academy Warrior. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warrior apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Jayden Wolcott was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Olive, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The Pilgrim Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

The Pilgrim Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 23-12 win against Gloucester County Christian on the 17th. As for Calvary Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-8 victory against King's Christian on the 17th.
