Basketball Recap: Corbett Takes a Loss

Corbett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Warrenton Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Warriors are ranked 84th).

Corbett's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Warrenton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

While Corbett had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
