Asheboro entered their tilt with Wheatmore on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Thursday.

While Asheboro might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Wheatmore scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Cora Little paced Asheboro's offense, picking up 14 kills. Little got some help from Eva Vuncannon and her 30 assists. Finally, Emma Kate Forester kept Asheboro's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

Asheboro's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Wheatmore, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Asheboro will head out on the road to square off against Trinity at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheatmore, they will welcome Uwharrie Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
