Soccer Game Preview: West Ridge vs. Dobyns-Bennett

West Ridge is 0-7 against Dobyns-Bennett since April of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. West Ridge will head out on the road to face off against Dobyns-Bennett at 6:00 p.m. Dobyns-Bennett took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on West Ridge, who comes in off a win.

West Ridge's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Sunday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Concord Christian, sneaking past 1-0.

Meanwhile, Dobyns-Bennett came up short against Pigeon Forge last Saturday and fell 4-2. The loss was Dobyns-Bennett's first of the season.

Lucas Park and Gavin Farmer scored both of Dobyns-Bennett's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

West Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-1-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matches. Having lost for the first time this season, Dobyns-Bennett fell to 4-1-2.

West Ridge might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Dobyns-Bennett in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point West Ridge was down 4-0.
