Basketball Recap: Urban Prep Academies Takes a Loss

Urban Prep Academies and Chicago Military Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Urban Prep Academies had to settle for second. They fell 52-48 to the Eagles. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 70-50.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chicago Military Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quran Lesure, who posted 17 points. Those 17 points gave Lesure a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Marvin Cole, who earned 13 points.

Urban Prep Academies has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season. As for Chicago Military Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

As of now, neither Urban Prep Academies nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
