Mineola had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the Winona Wildcats 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-16.

Mahayla McMahon paced Mineola's offense, picking up 11 kills. McMahon got some help from Callie Black and her 24 assists. Kaitlyn McMahon controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Mineola's record now sits at 21-13. As for Winona, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 15 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mineola is set to face off against their familiar foe Eustace at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Winona will challenge rival Quitman at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
