Volleyball Recap: Joplin Comes Up Short

Joplin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Carthage Tigers, falling 3-0. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-12.

Carthage can attribute much of their success to Briley Jadwin, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most digs Jadwin has posted since back in September.

Joplin's loss dropped their record down to 2-20-1. As for Carthage, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10-1.

Coming up, Joplin will square off against Willard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carthage, they will face off against Republic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
