Soccer Recap: Fluvanna County Comes Up Short

Fluvanna County lost against Albemarle back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Flying Flucos fell 2-0 to the Patriots. While losing is never fun, Fluvanna County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Albemarle are ranked 41st).

Fluvanna County has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9-1 record this season. As for Albemarle, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fluvanna County will square off against rival Western Albemarle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Albemarle is set to challenge their familiar foe Goochland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
