Basketball Game Preview: Williamsburg Blue Pirates vs. West Branch Warriors

Williamsburg and West Branch are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Williamsburg Blue Pirates will host the West Branch Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Williamsburg earned a 59-49 victory over Curwensville.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Branch). They took their match on Wednesday with ease, bagging an 89-48 win over Harmony Area. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Williamsburg now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Branch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Williamsburg came up short against West Branch when the teams last played back in January, falling 76-68. Can Williamsburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
