Reeds Spring has gone a perfect 5-0 against Spokane recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Owls at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Reeds Spring's win against Buffalo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Bison on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Spokane won against Hurley on Monday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Owls put the hurt on New Covenant Academy with a sharp 8-2 win. That six-run margin sets a new team best for the Owls this season.

Tim Rantz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits. He is becoming a predictor of Spokane's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gavin Kildea, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jackson Rantz, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The victory got Spokane back to even at 3-3. As for Reeds Spring, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Reeds Spring skirted past Spokane 4-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Owls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
