Baseball Recap: Christ Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Christ Prep Academy had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 8-8 to make it four. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Faith Christian Academy Knights. The Patriots were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Knights' pitchers proved too tough.

As for Faith Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games.

For Faith Christian Academy's part, Christ Prep Academy's batters probably weren't too happy with Jett York, who pitched a no hitter and racked up seven Ks (he gave up a single walk).

On the hitting side, Faith Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max McMillen, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Coming up, Christ Prep Academy will look to defend their home field on Monday against Kansas City East Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. As for Faith Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
