Ryan Giffins gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April on Friday. Washington had no answer to Giffins as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over 5.1 innings pitched. Giffins also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because California is 5-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 9-10 otherwise.

Coming up, Giffins and California will challenge Freedom at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
