Recap: Crossland Cavaliers vs. Potomac Wolverines

This season hasn't been kind to the Crossland Cavaliers, who are still winless after their 11th match. They were beaten by Potomac 68-27 on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crossland in their matchups with Potomac: they've now lost eight in a row.

Potomac's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Robinson, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was De'Von Pate, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Crossland's defeat was their 14th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Potomac, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.

Crossland and Douglass will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Douglass knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 matches -- so hopefully Crossland likes a good challenge. As for Potomac, they will be playing at home against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Potomac in Maryland (Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North is ranked 103rd, while Potomac is ranked 233rd).
