Basketball Recap: Trenton Central Takes a Loss

If Trenton Central was feeling good fresh off their 87-59 takedown of Allentown last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trenton Central Tornadoes fell 65-58 to the Burlington Township Falcons on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tornadoes of the 75-63 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.

It was another big night for Quayd Hendryx, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 13 boards for Burlington Township. Those 13 rebounds gave Hendryx a new career-high. Andrew Larbie was another key player, going 6-for-15 to rack up 15 points.

Trenton Central's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Burlington Township, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.

Coming up, Trenton Central will face off against Thrive Charter at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Burlington Township has already played their next contest (against Moorestown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
