After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Parkland, George Washington was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the John Bartram Braves 40-13 at home. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their 12-point performance the game before.

Tyson Scott had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes.

George Washington wouldn't let John Bartram keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. George Washington can thank Jamar Coleman and Martin Gorstkiy for forcing both of them. Coleman's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making four total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, George Washington was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 409 total yards. That's the most total yards they've posted since was before the start of last season.

The win got George Washington back to even at 1-1. As for John Bartram, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

George Washington will host Mastery Charter North - Pickett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for John Bartram, they will head out on the road to challenge Upper Moreland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
