Basketball Recap: The Rock Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

The Rock Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Oaks Mighty Oaks on Tuesday, falling 66-2. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-2.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oaks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joey Allen, who posted 13 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Crews, who put up 21 points.

Oaks has already played their next contest (against Southern Prep Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. The Rock Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Mighty Oaks' game: after the Mighty Oaks face off against Grace Christian, they'll take on The Rock Academy again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
