Basketball Recap: South Paulding Takes a Loss

South Paulding lost against New Manchester back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The South Paulding Spartans were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to the New Manchester Jaguar. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Manchester's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Delancy Alexander led the charge by going 7 of 11 en route to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Siahhlol Siahhlol, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points and five assists.

South Paulding's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for New Manchester, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

South Paulding and New Manchester should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. South Paulding (ranked 107th) will meet East Paulding (ranked 328th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, New Manchester (ranked 54th) will meet Lithia Springs (ranked 230th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
