Football Game Preview: McNair Mustangs vs. Utopian Academy for the Arts + Official Tickets

The McNair Mustangs will take on Utopian Academy for the Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McNair will be strutting in after a victory while Utopian Academy for the Arts will be coming in after a defeat.

McNair took a loss when they played away from home on October 10th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Towers by a score of 20-7. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to McNair's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Milek Adams, Jeremiah Kirkwood, and Keyuntae Phillips, who each picked up one sack apiece. Adams was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Utopian Academy for the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against Towers, falling 34-0.

Utopian Academy for the Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for McNair, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for McNair against Utopian Academy for the Arts in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured an 80-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
