Basketball Recap: Moore Catholic Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Moore Catholic had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 57-53 W against the Notre Dame Academy Gators. Given the Mavericks' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Gators are ranked 80th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Brianna Caliri, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Bruno-Dunn, who posted 12 points along with seven boards and five assists.
