Football Recap: Saddle Brook Skates Past North Arlington with Ease

Saddle Brook had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 49-point drubbing they dealt North Arlington on Friday. The Falcons breezed past the Vikings to the tune of 49-0. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Saddle Brook got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Cerciello out in front who rushed for 201 yards and four scores while picking up 11.8 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Cerciello is now averaging an impressive 106.6 rushing yards per game. Jayden Gatyas was another key player, gaining 191 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Saddle Brook was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 415 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Saddle Brook's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for North Arlington, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Saddle Brook will welcome Tenafly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 937 yards in their previous games. North Arlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
