Basketball Recap: Hydaburg Comes Up Short

Hydaburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Hoonah Braves and fell 56-19. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 53-19 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Hydaburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hoonah, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

While Hydaburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
