Baseball Recap: Lawson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cane Ridge on Tuesday, Lawson came back down to earth. The Lightning fell 9-4 to the Fairview Yellowjackets on Wednesday.

Lawson has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-12 record this season. As for Fairview, they pushed their record up to 11-14 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawson will challenge Creek Wood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Red Hawks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Fairview, they will take on Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
