Galion had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Pleasant Spartans by a score of 6-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 21-4 on Tuesday.

Galion got a great performance from Preston Maley as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Maley has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kurt Hay was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Galion's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Pleasant, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Coming up, Galion will welcome Colonel Crawford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pleasant, they will head out to take on Upper Sandusky at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
