Softball Recap: Raymond/South Bend Victorious

Raymond/South Bend proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by six) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Toledo Indians 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Ravens have posted since March 19, 2024.

Summer Stigall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Raymond/South Bend's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Koski Kassie, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Raymond/South Bend's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Toledo, they moved to 14-5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Raymond/South Bend has already played their next match, a 10-0 victory against Adna on the 14th. Toledo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
