Football Recap: Elbert County Blue Devils vs. Stephens County Indians
Elbert County was the 34-30 winner over Stephens County when they last played one another back in September of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Elbert County Blue Devils took a hard 38-21 fall against the Stephens County Indians on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Indians are ranked 87th).
Although Elbert County took the loss, they still got scores from Jermaine Sims, Dakhovin ?Dk? Winn, and Brady Dickerson.

Tripp Underwood was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 315 yards and five touchdowns. Davon Swinton was Underwood's top target, picking up 123 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Elbert County's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-2. As for Stephens County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Elbert County will be playing at home against Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stephens County, they will head out on the road to take on Cedar Shoals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Stephens County focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday.
