Softball Game Preview: Timpson Bears vs. Garrison Bulldogs

The Timpson Bears will venture away from home to face off against the Garrison Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Timpson will be strutting in after a victory while Garrison will be coming in after a defeat.

Timpson barely beat Chireno the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears were the clear victors by a 19-3 margin over the Owls on Wednesday. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Garrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Shelbyville, falling 15-0.

The win made it two in a row for Timpson and bumps their season record up to 15-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Garrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Timpson took their win against Garrison in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 16-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
