Council Grove had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Hillsboro Trojans. 13 seems to be a good number for the Braves as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Council Grove's win bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Hillsboro, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Council Grove will take on Mission Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Braves 3.3, the Vikings 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Hillsboro, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pratt at 4:00 p.m. The Fighting Frogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
