Volleyball Recap: Argenta-Oreana's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Argenta-Oreana came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh Titans by a score of 2-0. The Bombers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Titans, so the Bombers were just returning the favor.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17.

Khloe Hartrich paced Argenta-Oreana's offense, picking up eight kills. Hartrich got some help from Pyper Jones and her eight assists. Finally, Hartrich was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Argenta-Oreana's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Argenta-Oreana and Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Bombers (ranked 373rd) will meet Maroa-Forsyth (ranked 136th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh will square off against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (509 vs. 127).
