Soccer Game Preview: Chapin vs. Burges

The Chapin Huskies are taking a road trip to challenge the Burges Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Chapin will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Andress, who they had gone 1-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Chapin came out on top in a nail-biter against Andress on Friday, sneaking past 3-2. That's two games straight that the Huskies have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Burges sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over El Paso on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

The win was the third in a row for Chapin, bringing their record for this year to 6-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three contests. As for Burges, their record now sits at 15-3.

Chapin suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Burges in their previous matchup back in February. Can Chapin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
