Baseball Recap: ALA - Ironwood Wins Going Away Against San Tan Foothills

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northwest Christian, ALA - Ironwood was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the San Tan Foothills Sabercats with a sharp 16-4 victory. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

Ethan Garcia was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gio Martinez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Garcia wasn't the only one making solid contact: ALA - Ironwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The Warriors are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

With the win, ALA - Ironwood broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-13. As for San Tan Foothills, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
