The Orono Spartans will face off against the Roosevelt Teddies at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Orono is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Orono didn't have quite enough to beat Minnetonka and fell 4-3. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Orono saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin McGuirk, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that McGuirk has hit this season. Another was Dane Kanwischer, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Richfield, falling 9-1.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Orono, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Orono has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Roosevelt struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts.
