James Island wins going away against Hartsville

Recap: James Island Trojans vs. Hartsville Red Foxes

With a playoff game on the line, the James Island Trojans rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past Hartsville 45-21. The victory was just business as usual for James Island, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.

James Island's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amontrae Scott, who rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Scott, who threw for 210 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes.

Several Red Foxes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hakeem Watters, who picked up 89 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Watters' longest reception was for an incredible 79 yards. Another player making a difference was McKendrie Douglas, who threw for 204 yards and a touchdown.

James Island has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.2 points. As for Hartsville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

James Island will take on Irmo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Irmo is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Hartsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
