Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North Putnam walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Crawfordsville Athenians on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on five straight.
Zach Riley paced North Putnam's offense, picking up 15 kills. Riley got some help from Bastian Sobrino-Behler and his 44 assists. Elijah Lewis controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
North Putnam's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Crawfordsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
North Putnam didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Harrison on the 15th. Crawfordsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
