Baseball Recap: Pleasant Hill Comes Up Short

Pleasant Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Excelsior Springs Tigers, falling 9-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Roosters/Chicks of the 6-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Pleasant Hill's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Excelsior Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season.

Pleasant Hill will challenge St. Paul Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Excelsior Springs, they will welcome Grandview at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
